When we think of renaissance theatre, Shakespeare is the name that immediately comes to mind. However, from the middle of the sixteenth through the seventeenth centuries, Shakespeare was just one of many playwrights who plied their trade. Join Dr Anthony Harris, who has taught Renaissance Drama at Oxford, and Old and Middle English at Cambridge and Oxford, for an insightful exploration of other playwrights from this period. This talk will be an enjoyable tour through the history and background of other plays and playwrights of the Renaissance stage.

Bar opens: 6:30pm | Supper: 7:30pm | Talk: 8:30pm  –  Price: £26 – Ticket price includes supper (1 course with coffee)
