We are delighted to tell you that West Berkshire Museum and Shaw House will be reopening next month! We can’t wait to welcome you back, but as you can imagine, we have had to make a few changes to ensure that your visit is as safe as possible.
In order to ensure that it is safe and in line with government guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19, both venues have been deep-cleaned, and have reception screens in place, hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) has been supplied for staff to use when necessary and have social distancing, queuing and one-way systems in place. Please note that we will only be taking contactless card payments at this stage.
Unfortunately our children’s activities, interactive interpretation and dressing up will not be available in this initial phase but we will have a variety of free trails at both venues for you to enjoy.
Your safety, and that of our staff, is of utmost importance and we have been working hard to make sure that we can offer you the same social and cultural experience that you will have enjoyed at our venues in the past, but within a slightly reduced capacity;
